On the day the dhol player arrived on time, however we weren’t running on time! He was very understanding and agreed to stay an extra hour which we happily paid for. He played the dhol and my brother was happy! We would have been stuck if he didn’t agree to stay an extra hour out of our agreed time slot as a back up entrance plan wasn’t in place! My baby brother (7 years younger than me) was really happy that it all went ahead as planned and he got what he wanted in terms of his wedding entrance! And I was happy that it all worked out and my little brother had a smile on his face! This is the last wedding for our family, and we were able to make it extra special with the little touches like having the dhol player. He was amazing in how he played the dhol drums and everyone was talking about the dhol player as it’s not very common to have in a Bengali wedding! They were very helpful with assisting with an out of the ordinary request during our first dance. They had to cut their set at short notice, and happily did, ensuring that our favourites were played. Despite their name both Jon and Alex certainly aren’t Lazy, from the initial enquiry until they packed up on the evening of our wedding, and thereafter. They took full control of all our entertainment for our wedding and absolutely smashed it. Jon was very reassuring throughout, when I had loads of questions, he offered very good advice, we would communicate via WhatsApp and despite how busy they are he’d always get back to me straight away. On the day, they both took full control of our entertainment and were very fluid with it, liaising with our venue throughout. My Wife and I were simply just enjoying our wedding day with our guests, as we should, with Jon and Alex organising everything around us. They’d approach us and ask what we wanted and then made it happen with things such as timings for the first dance and cutting the cake which we did have scheduled in for a certain time but as everyone was too busy enjoying themselves time seemed to slip away. Despite all of this, they also offered probably the best wedding entertainment you could ask for, with sets scheduled throughout the day that filled our quite large dance floor, to playing recorded music in between those sets that kept everyone on the dance floor! (I don’t think there was anyone out of our 120 guests that did not dance, even the people that claimed “I DON’T DANCE” found themselves in the middle of the dance floor). Both are clearly very talented in providing the wedding industry the full package when it comes to their profession! They learnt our first dance song and it couldn’t have been better. We even woke up to a surprise the next day when I received a video from their stage recording our first dance, a very nice touch! We were also very surprised that when I sent them a list of songs that had meaning to ourselves, assuming they would play the recorded version in between their live sets but they performed a lot of those songs live too!! If you are reading this because you need entertainment, don’t hesitate, don’t sit and think about it, enquire with them and book them as you will not find a better band! There is only one negative and that is that I enjoyed their entertainment so much, I missed the evening buffet as I refused to leave the dance floor!” Read more
