Two weeks before the event, I had a planning call with the artist, where we discussed and agreed how the event should go. The hotel allowed us access to the kitchen, so when he came out carrying a large birthday cake (which of course we had pre-arranged) it was a real surprise for the birthday girl who was flabbergasted.
