Right from the start, Marc from Alive Network looked after us and was really responsive, and closer to the event, he put us in touch with Robin, who was on hand to answer any questions we had - communication is so crucial in the run up to a wedding, and we felt like we were in safe hands with the team. Our wedding party of just under 100 consisted of many people who had never ceilidh danced before, and about 40% non-native English speakers, so we wondered how it would pan out - 'left' and 'right' would be fine, but would anybody be able to accurately translate 'thread the needle'?! :) Luckily, as well as being brilliantly talented musicians and just generally lovely people, the group are also great teachers, so even with a slight language barrier, everyone was up and dancing, laughing, smiling and having the time of their lives - even those who neither of us have ever seen set foot on a dance floor before were choosing to join in! What more could you ask for for your wedding guests? Rabscallion - we are so, so grateful to you for giving us such a great experience. “We loved having rock up be a part of our wedding! They absolutely nailed our first dance song, even though it was one they had to learn specially and it was honestly amazing, we were so happy! They also invited us to join in one of the songs and had got our guests involved with some of the song choices through the night. Also the general quality of the band was top notch. They were so accommodating with all our venue requirements and they knew exactly how to keep the crowd engaged, adapting to the songs that were getting everyone dancing. We had SO much fun and got so many compliments from our guests. Highly highly recommend!!”
