They sorted our first dance request which then seamlessly went into the beginning of their set. Excellent music and professional setup & sound. Really polished songs that got even the most reluctant dancers up on the dance floor. They were happy to include our handful of "must have" songs from their set list (placing our special song in a later slot when the dance floor was packed) and filled the rest of their performance with our "would really like to have" songs, which we'd hi...”“The Rips were superb. Prior to the wedding party, communication was timely and easy. Jamie and the band are a really relaxed and easy going bunch. They were happy to include our handful of "must have" songs from their set list (placing our special song in a later slot when the dance floor was packed) and filled the rest of their performance with our "would really like to have" songs, which we'd highlighted and sent to them in advance. My wife is into the 60s/70s rock and a wide array of indie music, I'm more into modern rock, but The Rips did a great job blending the two. Originally intending to do 3x40 minute sets, they switched without issue to 2x 60 minutes as our speeches/dinner overran. They were also fine to squeeze into what I assume will be one of their less spacious venues. However, it was a venue which they filled with amazing vibes, atmospheric lighting and marvellous music. Guests, (from mid-twenties to mid-sixties) had an amazing time from start to finish, so much that The Rips couldn't but give in to the demands of "one more song" at the end of their last set. The transition to the DJ set (using our own Spotify mix) between performances was seamless, and they also took requests. In summary, if The Rips are available and you're looking for a band of this genre, don't hesitate to book them.” Read more
