Their planning was meticulous - agreeing arrival and set-up arrangements to accommodate our very specific requirements and suggesting song-by-song playlists for each set - to take our guests from post dinner Swing, to Soul & Pop for the New Year celebrations...”“Sugar Push performed recently at our New Years Eve wedding. From our initial introduction the band could not have been more professional. Their planning was meticulous - agreeing arrival and set-up arrangements to accommodate our very specific requirements and suggesting song-by-song playlists for each set - to take our guests from post dinner Swing, to Soul & Pop for the New Year celebrations. The start time went a little awry on the night, which must have been frustrating for the band, but they weren’t fazed in any way and adapted seamlessly with a re-jig of the set structures – our guests of course noticed nothing untoward – and they quickly had the dance floor heaving. Abi the lead singer was amazing, with a fantastic range that particularly did the classic swing numbers proud – and also looking fabulous in a shimmering evening gown (the guys were dressed perfectly for the occasion too!). We knew you were going to be amazing but I don’t think all the videos we watched online could really prepare us for the charisma, charm and musicianship you guys have. We were really looking forward to your performance and for our guests to experience you...and you guys didn't disappoint! The dancefloor was packed for both your sets (particularly the funk and soul...so much so that a few guests even got bumped off the dancefloor due to ...”“I just wanted to say a belated big thank to you and the band for being so fantastic at our wedding on the 6th August at Nymans. The dancefloor was packed for both your sets (particularly the funk and soul...so much so that a few guests even got bumped off the dancefloor due to lack of space), and several people said they had never seen a dancefloor so popular and busy at a wedding before. We had so many compliments about you from guests that loved your music and style, and the band perfectly suited our reception and ensured that our wedding ended on the right note (pun intended). I also wanted to say a personal thank you to you for being flexible and easy going on the day, such as pushing times back etc as we were running slightly behind, setting up the PA so we could do the speeches (and my rap), and staying on till the end so we could use your speakers for the final iPod set. It all contributed to a smoother and less stressful experience. Katie and I had a wonderful day, and we luckily managed to spend most of the evening on the dancefloor enjoying ourselves, as I know many couples often miss out on this as they're talking to people.
