Indeed their swing arrangements of more contemporary tunes achieved both of these goals simultaneously. Abi's voice sounded great whatever the style of the song. We coordinated our first dance with the band (a lindy hop swing dance to Nina Simone's "My Baby Just Cares for Me"), and they were also kind enough to let the groom sit in on guitar for a tune (one off the wedding bucket list). The jazz trio sounded fantastic and worked so well in the room we had for the reception drinks (it started while having our photos taken outside and sounded amazing). The big band in the evening was probably the best live band we've seen at a wedding - we might be biased as it was our own - but the dance floor wasn't empty all night, and we've had so many people comment both on the night and since then about how good the music was. Even the events manager at the college was impressed by how good you were (and they organise a lot of events), so much so I think they might be considering hiring you for other events! We really couldn't have been any happier, the music absolutely made our day and especially with Naomi being able to sing the first dance (there were so many variables so really appreciate you being as flexible as you were to allow us to pull this off).
