Hipster were REALLY fantastic - the songs they played were a good mixture and exactly what we wanted. They were great at getting everyone up dancing- the dance floor was literally packed all night! They were really nice guys too - and great fun. “I'm not sure whether Phil responded directly to you, but I just wanted to write to say how AMAZING Riser were, they were absoloutley brilliant and complete professionals. “I promised the group i would email you to let you know that they were excellent. A nice guy of blokes, easy to talk to, friendly, funny.... oh yeah and they sounded excellent! I would recommend them to anyone, all my wedding guests commented on how good they sounded... not expecting a band at a wedding to sound so good! They were discreet throughout the day when the wedding breakfast was being served, though offered to put some background music on when required. There wasn't a time that the dancefloor was empty and soon after they started, you couldn't get on the dancefloor! I can't recommend them highly enough. As the groom, I was looking forward to seeing the band. We spent a lot of time looking for and listening to samples of music from a great number of bands before making a decision on who to choose. We were looking ...”“Just a quick note to thank Platinum Gold following their performance at my wedding August 2005. The bride was looking forward to the cake, photographs, dress and all the attention. As the groom, I was looking forward to seeing the band. We spent a lot of time looking for and listening to samples of music from a great number of bands before making a decision on who to choose. We were looking for a great sound, great look, versatility and group who could quickly get the party going, get everyone involved and keep them on their feet for the whole night. Quite a list...... The band performed far above my expectations and hopes. They arrived exactly on time, set up (with great excitement from everyone who heard the sound check) and then got the party running from the first minute. The quality of the performance was incredible. They gave us a long play list prior to the wedding. We let them know a number of tracks that we particularly wanted (all of which they played) and the general type of music that we wanted. For the first hour they played most of what we had asked. For the second and final hour they played other songs on our request list but also interacted with us and our guests asking for requests from the floor - almost everyone that was asked for they knew and played. Upon returning from honeymoon and having spoken to a number of friends from the wedding everyone has commented on how impressed they were with the band and how much they enjoyed the performance. A good friend of mine did have two complaints:- 1. The band did three 1-hour sets. She couldn't believe that they had completed a full hour for each (until she checked her watch and saw that they had - time fly's when you're having fun). 2. That she never saw her husband for the whole night. Normally she would be out enjoying the music and he would be standing propped up against the bar. The dance floor would always be a no-go zone for him so at least she would always no where to find him. The complaint was that he enjoyed the music so much that he spent the whole three hours on the dance floor (drink in hand) and that she real realised she couldn't keep up with him. If you're looking for the ultimate party band for any function then look no further. ” Read more
