We had an amazing day and you guys were a huge part of that. EVERYONE has commented on how great you were and have asked us how we found such an awesome band. The brief we gave you was followed perfectly, the live sets were interactive and fun and we didn't here a single 'cheesy wedding song'!! You all looked amazing and seemed like you had such a laugh together on stage which radiated out into the crowd and ensured we and all our guests had plenty of energy right up until the end of the night. The playlist for both the live sets and disco was powerful, it is definitely a skill to play songs that entertain 4-74 year olds all night! Your acoustic set was brilliant and helped keep the momentum of the day going, we need not have worried about any 'lull' between the end of the wedding breakfast and the evening reception getting started. On a personal note I (Samantha) found you all very approachable and appreciated you taking the time to come and chat to me during the evening. Huge thanks as well for learning 'Yellow' at such short notice and letting me sing it with you. We would recommend you time and time again and from the feedback we got, so would all our guests. As a four piece the sound that they create is full and rich and their playlist is impressive with songs to suit all tastes through the decades. The rock and roll set really had our wedding guests partying up until the last song, and band guest interaction was superb! We also have numerous friends who are in bands as well as my Dad and I and we were also equally impressed - the sound was amazing, set list was great and everyone was dancing all night (don't look back in anger with everyone singing at the top of their voices in a circle around us will remain a fond memory of mine for the rest of my life!), interaction was brilliant (my Dad is a bit of a legend amongst my friends after he played with you - thank you for letting him do that - it was a very brave move considering you hadn't heard him play before!) and above all you are all really nice, friendly, easy-going guys! Hopefully we will have the chance to book you again at some point - a few of our friends are getting married next year and I think they took your card and were interested in booking you so hopefully we'll see another performance soon. ” Read more

“We booked Effigy without hearing them play (apart from samples on Alive web site) but what a Fantastic Band! Ian contacted us before the wedding to ask about the repertoire and on the day the band set up with no fuss. Our Caterers and Marquee manager commented that they were really polite. Ian and the lads were absolutely superb, and had our daughter and son-in-laws reception guests on their f...”“We booked Effigy without hearing them play (apart from samples on Alive web site) but what a Fantastic Band! Ian and the lads were absolutely superb, and had our daughter and son-in-laws reception guests on their feet from the first dance, which incidentally they hadn't heard of before, but learnt especially for them (Adele's version of Bob Dylans - Make you feel my love). So accommodating, really friendly and polite - we can't give them enough compliments. They played 3 x 45min sets, together with DJ between, and kept the same energy up all the time. Their 'Beatles' medley was superb, as were all their covers, and it goes without saying that their version of Oasis, Killers etc was practically as good as the originals. They had the reception rocking. They finished on 'I predict a riot' which almost brought the marquee down (not literally) and then treated the guests to an encore of 'Champagne Supernova' - brilliantly superb.
