It certainly does groups like Beat Collective no favours, conjuring up images of staid, elderly musicians wearing bow ties and drab formal attire. But, this band’s six-strong line-up here performed as good a showcase set I’ve seen for a long time from a so-called function outfit. As my wife said to me as we stood there at the end of the night I've danced so hard my hair has fallen out, my dress is battered and my feet are destroyed.....but she wanted more! For anyone thinking about booking these guys, don't think.....JUST BOOK THEM NOW!! I've been told she wants them at her 30th now.....at least it'll give the feet time to recover!
