When discussing what and when he would play, he asked a lot of excellent questions regarding the potential acoustics and setting of the venue (dark oak panelling in our case) which allowed him to recommend the style of his setlist accordingly. He is very friendly and excellent at explaining technical details. He has a wide potential setlist of suitable wedding music, from the sombre and spiritual to the bright and sparkling. In our case, Sean played music for about an hour while guests arrived and we waited for the bride. This worked wonderfully at providing a relaxed atmosphere to guests while they chatted, while also lending a certain meditative gravity to the situation. Sean also played a particular piece in the middle of our ceremony (just before the exchange of vows). The guests were all captivated in silent awe of the beautiful piece he proceeded to play. He had previously sent me a recording he had made to help me choose the specific piece we wanted, but hearing it played live far surpassed my expectations.” Read more
