The Wedding Crashers are a good band but need to improve their admin

“The wedding crashers are a good band but with lacklustre admin. On our wedding day they set up late. We agreed 3pm but they finished at 3:15pm and started playing late. Worst of all, after we spent time selecting songs from their repertoire they didn’t play a lot of them which was an oversight on the bands part, apparently due to some confusion between our wedding and other recent event...”“The wedding crashers are a good band but with lacklustre admin. The result was my new wife turning to me after the first song (not first dance) and saying “I hate this song” – not really what you want from a wedding band! Good singers/musicians but just need a manager or better admin. - Luke and Laura, November 2016. Below is the response from the band to Luke and Laura ............Hi Luke, Thanks very much for booking The Wedding Crashers and I'm really glad you thought we were a good band. We apologise profusely that you weren't 100% happy with the service we provided and we've taken your comments on board. We do feel there are mitigating circumstances regarding the minor delay in set up, as previously explained this can be attributed to the manager/staff of Balham Bowls Club offering us an additional 15 minutes to refine our soundcheck, which we accepted but was wholly not critical to us being ready and set up in time. Also of note is the guests were scheduled to enter the dining/function area of the venue at 3:20pm, therefore us finishing setup at 3:15pm having been offered the additional set up time shouldn't have impacted on this, so I'm not sure why there was a delay with the wedding breakfast. Regarding the band not fulfilling the entirety of your song requests, we apologise. This this was a genuine mistake on our part. We do not ignore client requests or purposefully go against their wishes. I would say that roughly 50 - 60% of your song requests were fulfilled on the night, which whilst still falling short of being 100% satisfactory for both yourself and us, I would have hoped would go some way in providing a enjoyable experience for all involved. Your feedback has been noted and we're taking steps to ensure this doesn't happen again. Working in music I was very particular about which band we chose, I think Jonny was going out of his mind listening to all the You Tube clips I was playing him but I knew instantly when I heard your voice Talisha that you were the right band for us. Working in music I was very particular about which band we chose, I think Jonny was going out of his mind listening to all the You Tube clips I was playing him but I knew instantly when I heard your voice Talisha that you were the right band for us. Such a soulful sound with a tight band behind you, you really kicked the energy into our special day and our packed dance floor was all the proof you needed that you were the perfect choice. I had to leave the dance floor at one point as I was so hot from dancing so much. If anyone is looking for a high energy band with huge talent and amazing organisational skills you really have to look no further. Talisha always got back to us within an hour and was hugely accommodating with our requests and even helped me arrange a special surprise for my new husband. Electric Tones took our wedding to the next level and our guests are still talking about how much fun they had on the dance floor, I am just waiting for another excuse to book you all again!” Read more
