“The Happenings were amazing. We booked them for our wedding and they sounded great. The songs sounded great, they played all the songs we requested from their set list and even learnt one we requested for our first dance. They also let us use their PA system to do speeches on. The sound quality of the sound system was also great and they were all a friendly group. Would definitely recommend to anyone.”

“The 2 x 1 hour sets were incredible and I highly rate this band for that. Bens voice is incredible and I loved the choice of songs they had, lots of upbeat ones and something for everyone! Unfortunately we were less pleased with the additional service we had purchased (which was not cheap) to have the band stay on and DJ at our wedding afterwards. I chose to do this as I thought the transition would be smoother then from band to DJ as the band would already have set up. The DJ set was done in a very simplistic way. I also had given Ben a Spotify playlist of songs I wanted to be played during the DJ set and instead they began by playing a really awful lot of pop songs which were worlds apart from the stuff on the playlist I had sent over. I did have to go over and ask for the music to be changed to what I had sent over which just seemed really strange as we had only spoken about my playlist days earlier. Again, can’t fault the band’s sets, but for anyone thinking about doing the same I wish I had hired a separate DJ for the evening.”

Ben and the band played a few of our requested favourites from their repertoire which we really appreciated! A very friendly and professional band who are also very talented musicians - all of our guests commented on how great they sounded. Many thanks to Ben and the boys for making our wedding reception so much fun, Mr & Mrs Player :)”

“We booked The Happenings for our wedding in July and they were fantastic. Not only were they incredibly talented musicians and vocalists but also just very professional and polite, pleasant guys to deal with. They had a great set list and were able to make a seamless blend between iPad music and their sets (we had two hour long slots). It was a luxury wishlist item to have a band but they were really worth it. Highly recommended!”

“Music was a really important part of our wedding, especially for my husband who is a huge music fan (and music snob!). There were certain songs (some quite old and obscure) that we really wanted to be part of our day, as they meant a lot to us. We searched high and low and came across Alive Network who had The Happenings on their roster, whose set list contained everything we were looking for, including our first dance “Harvest Moon” which hardly anyone we know has even heard of! We were delighted to be able to book them for our wedding. I was really nervous having not seen them play live before, as the live music and dancing was one of the most important parts of our reception to us. We were not disappointed though, they were professional and organised, they emailed me before the day itself to discuss what music we wanted, and requests for how the day was to run. This really put me at ease as I knew I could rely on them. They turned up on time and set up without any fuss. It was brilliant to know the music element of the day was dealt with, without any stress or input required on the day from us. The first dance was magical for us, they played our favourite song beautifully, and after that the dance floor was packed and everyone talked about the music all night long. My husband used to be in a band himself and loves playing the guitar but is usually far too shy to perform in public these days. However he asked if he could play a song or two with the band and they let him join in, which was a real highlight for us and our guests loved it! They were good fun, good natured, and so professional, as well as being fantastic musicians. I would not hesitate to recommend Alive Network or The Happenings!”

“Using Alive Network to book a band for our wedding was easy and saved us a lot of time contacting bands directly for quotes and they were very helpful with regards to suggesting bands which matched our criteria and budget, we'd certainly use them again. The Happenings were brilliant! As we'd not seen them play before naturally we were concerned that we'd chosen wisely but they went above and beyond our expectations. They were fun, engaging, got everyone on the dance floor and sounded fantastic. We had a lot of musical guests at our wedding (some in bands themselves) who commented on how good they were so their positive feedback meant a lot. We'd definitely use them again. Highly highly recommend.”
