“Hipster are the most amazing band I have ever seen at a wedding. They were completely pitch perfect and so incredibly talented! The dance floor was packed until they turned the lights on! I also spent time chatting with the band between sets and I found them delightful, extremely friendly and it was lovely to chat up with them. The communication was excellent and they gave some great feedback on the songs we had chosen, they also asked for requests during the sets. The atmosphere was unbelievable, I think having a band just draws the guests on to the dance floor, and so many others just sat and watched the band play. At the one or two times the dance floor was a touch quieter, the band came forward and played on the dance floor and it made the guests rush back to dance!! Since the wedding myself and my husband have had such amazing feedback and compliments about Hipster. And I couldn’t agree more - I was very specific when picking a band that they need to have a good singer. And, Joey blew my socks off!! Completely pitch perfect!!!! They were money well spent and we absolutely adored them If Hipster are available on your wedding day, run - not walk to the phone to book them!”

“Hipster were by far one of the best bands I've had the pleasure of listening to. From the word go they were excited to be at our wedding, enthusiastic and really polite. They asked what we wanted, tailored everything to us and made sure everyone got involved. I was receiving compliments all night about how wonderful they were not only as a band but as people. The music was exactly what we wanted despite leaving most of the choices to Hipster. More than 10/10 would recommend to all friends and family, and would 100% book again!”
50th birthday party - Hipster were beyond brilliant

“I booked Hipster to play two 60 minute sets at my 50th birthday party at the Ham Yard hotel in London. I was able to select all of the songs from their extensive repertoire in advance and the boys then put the running order together. They played the songs perfectly. If you closed your eyes it was very easy to imagine that you were at a Stone Roses concert one minute, then seeing the Jam the next. Not only that, they are really nice blokes, very professional and had a great rapport with the audience. They absolutely made the party and the feedback I had from all my friends was incredibly positive. My challenge now is to dream up another event so I can hear them play again!”

Their musical abilities are exceptional, whether they were playing an acoustic set or in full gig mode! Their song selection was spot on as they kept the dance floor full all night and they finished off with our specially requested song, which just capped off our amazing day. “Just wanted to say a huge HUGE thank you for playing at our wedding on Thursday. You were one of the best things about the whole day, and everyone commented on how amazing you were. I think testament to that is that fact that the dance floor was NEVER empty. When we were looking for a band, we came across your cover of "sweet disposition". I was instantly sold... and then heartbroken when we realised you were booked. By happy fortune (and hours of searching and failing for someone as good) Marc at Alive managed to descover that with some schedule tweaks out COULD play for us. Never have I been so glad, and so overwhelmed as when you played that song. It was a moment in my life I will never forget.
