“I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your beautiful singing when you visited Burford House Care Home yesterday. My father Robert has been a resident there for the past two years and as you know, he celebrated his 105th birthday that day and whilst he now has difficulty with eyesight and hearing his mind is still sharp and it is his memories that provide the incentive for him to carry on. It was therefore very touching and very much appreciated that you gave him so much of your time to sing some of his favourite songs and to bring back many happy memories for him. Your singing of “O mio babbino caro” was particularly moving and there were not many dry eyes in the room by the end! On behalf of Robert and all the family we thank you for making the afternoon so very happy and enjoyable. ”
