The Swinging Ditties

The Swinging Ditties are an international line up of experienced musicians hailing from Ireland, Holland and the U.K.

With a crowd-pleasing setlist influenced by their eclectic musical histories, The Swinging Ditties perform a great repertoire of energetic folk songs, sing-along shanties and traditional tunes. Whether at festivals, weddings, corporate events or small pubs – the band’s set is always designed to engage!

Rather than playing a pre-arranged list, The Swinging Ditties frequently change their setlist dependent on their audience’s demographic and real-time interaction. Whilst the songs the band play are mostly traditional, there will be a few surprises in amongst the more well-known songs - always keeping it fresh!

Two of the band’s members are in the Guinness book of Records for musical achievement and the group have also enjoyed T.V. and radio appearances over the years - most recently in an interview with BBC’s Steve Lamacq.

The Swinging Ditties have had the pleasure of performing at popular international festivals, The Tall Ships Race, Waterfront Live, numerous Pirate Festivals (including individual performances in different line ups across Europe), and have even appeared aboard the famous ‘Black Pearl’ pirate ship!
