Full Biography
Rose plays both the Alto and Tenor Saxophone, to compliment different genres and timbres of music. Her notable performances include appearing on BBC1's New Year's Eve 2022 show, performing with Sam Ryder alongside other guests, including Justin Hawkins from The Darkness and Mel C. Rose has also performed as a solo artist for large audiences, including a recent show for 2,500 fans at the UEFA Championships 2024 Final in Wembley Arena.
Played at venues around the world and for high-profile clients as a solo artist and with bands/DJs, including (to name a few) Udaipur City Palace, Monaco Yacht Show, Formula 1, Paris Le Grand, Camden Roundhouse, Annabel’s. Venues in Bahrain, Italy, Switzerland, and Ibiza for Hed Kandi.
A versatile, experienced saxophone player performing professionally for over 10 years, Rose initially studied classical music, followed by jazz training. She honed her craft in big bands and jazz ensembles and studied contemporary saxophone under Paul McCartney's sax player, Howie Casey. Additionally, she has recorded saxophone for music productions worldwide, distributed by publishers including 5 Alarm in the US and Cavendish in the UK. She performs on the legendary Mark VI Selmer saxophone for a truly beautiful vintage sound.
Multi-genre: Rose can play chilled acoustic Pop Covers, Jazz, Soul, Disco, Israeli, Bollywood and Club Anthems. Furthermore offers different options: can be booked with an acoustic guitarist or pianist, and can be booked with a DJ, percussionist or pianist and able to make pre-made mixed DJ set lists herself on her own decks and mix live between sets, showcasing not only musician skills but a technical, professional showmanship edge. This talented and versatile musician is available to play as guest musician for jazz/funk and pop with an existing band or join an existing band as a horn backing player.
