The smart and sophisticated choice, Clissold Jazz have over 15 years’ experience providing instrumental jazz bands for events across the UK and beyond. They’re equally happy playing at weddings, corporate events, launch parties and birthdays, and pride themselves on providing a flexible, tailored and professional service for thier clients.
Clissold Jazz specialise in atmospheric performances to add that special buzz and impact to your event, playing well known jazz standards from the great American song book - think toe-tapping swing numbers, bright and breezy latin tunes and mellow soulful grooves.
The trio was formed by bandleader Sam upon graduating with his masters in jazz - note that all of our musicians have degree qualifications specifically in jazz from the top conservatoires, along with many years of experience playing at the top jazz clubs, hotels, private homes and party venues all over the world.
Previous clients include Deustche Bank, Kleinwort Benson, British Racing Drivers Club, ZSL London Zoo, RBS and Shell, with venue highlights of The Natural History Museum, Lords, The Dorchester, Millenium Hotel, Christie’s, Vinopolis, Hilton Hotels, Silverstone, Grovesnor House Hotel, Ronnie Scotts and Glastonbury.

The first thing you notice is how the musicianship here is at a super high level - you could really tell they were all trained at top music colleges and were seasoned pros. They added such a great buzz to our event, all of our guests (some of whom are musicians themselved) commented on how much they enjoyed the band. They played a mix of toe-tapping jazz standards and latin numbers, and adjusted their style to suit our request, a speakeasy theme. No messing around on the logistics too here either - they made sure we had everything planned ahead of time, arrived early, liaised with the venue, were completely self-contained with their own gear, and were set up and ready to go with plenty of time to spare.
