Brace Yourself Brass

Brace Yourself Brass are a brass covers band who play a melange of pop and funk favourites, balkanised afrobeats and twisted jazz standards. The band consists of consists of traditional New Orleans style horn section instruments such as: trombones, trumpets, saxophones, sousaphone and drums. Their sound teleports this traditional approach to the 21st century!

BYB are favourites on the festival circuit and are in great demand for private parties. They encompass great musicians from all over the world who are notorious for spreading smiles and dance moves across the party! High energy, charismatic and exuberant shows are their trademark.

BYB keep a clean and tidy appearance with trademark white shirts and burgundy braces, bridges the gap between aesthetic, chic and cool. Festival heavyweights Continental Drifts crowned the band winners of their 2019 Brass Battle competition at London Remixed Festival.
Stage Shows
Stage shows can feature guest singers, rappers or hype-man to further engage the audience. Many members of the brass band are virtuosos on their instruments and are featured with astonishing solos that blow the minds of audiences.

Roaming Brass Band
BYB can also perform as roaming musicians around street parties and private parties. A unique selling point of this band is their ability to successfully lure crowds from one place to another in the pied piper style. Another unique selling point of this band is the ability to play instantly with no setup time; these style flash mob or pop up performances create an element of surprise which creates a unique experience at events.

Special Requests
The band are happy to commission arrangements of any music desired by the client. This is perfect for the wedding 'first dance'; a beloved song performed by a brass band to dance to creates a unique and unforgettable moment . This service attaches an additional fee.

PA Hire
The band is more than capable of delivering an loud show without any electronic amplification. However for large venues we do offer amplified shows, and are also happy to hire out our 1,000 Watt PA system for use by the client for the event.

DJ Services
BYB offer a full event entertainment package that includes live music and DJ performance, taking care of the entire event.
